The first day of the week was the day of Christ’s resurrection. (Mk. 16:9)
It was the day of worship for the early church. (1 Cor. 16:1,2)
John, the Revelator, called it “The Lord’s Day” when he addressed the early church. (Rev. 1:10)
Obviously, every day belongs to God, but in respect and reverence, we give the first day of the week to Him. Let’s all worship, hear the Word preached, and have fellowship with our eternal family on this, “The Lord’s Day.”
Lord, thank You for giving us Your best. We give this day back to You.
