Not only does the Lord’s mercy follow us (Ps. 23:6), but it greets us every morning.

It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (Lam. 3:22,23)

If grace is getting what we don’t deserve, mercy is not getting what we DO deserve, and we’ve all miserably failed the Lord.

Lord, we are grateful for Your unending and limitless compassion that is available. I receive a new portion today.
