Failed Father Forgiveness

The list of Bible fathers who were highly regarded leaders with sons who turned out bad is significant:  Adam, Aaron, David, Eli, and there were probably others.

Effective parenting takes the grace and mercy of God.  Put God first in all you do and pray for your children daily.  If they choose to go another direction, keep praying, accept the Lord’s forgiveness, and keep the return lanes open.

DAILY PRAYER:  Lord, grace me to be a good parent.  I  need Your wisdom to be a godly example to the young eyes who watch me.

DAILY READING:  Num. 3,4

The Lord Has A Plan

As demonstrated in the book of Numbers, God made clear to Moses who specifically were to be the leaders of each tribe’s fighting men and where they were to camp.

If you have a Kingdom responsibility, don’t worry, God will show you how to do it and who else He wants involved.

He is faithful and ALL KNOWING.

DAILY PRAYER:  Lord, You know and have what I need. I trust Your voice and wisdom.

DAILY READING: Num. 1,2

You Are Safe

The Lord guaranteed security to His people if they followed His commands.

“I will grant peace in the land, and you will lie down and no one will make you afraid.”  Lev. 26:6

If you fear God, you don’t have to fear anything or anyone else.

DAILY PRAYER:  Lord, thank You for the security You give to Your people.  I trust in Your strength.

DAILY READING:  Lev. 26-27

The Earth Belongs to the Lord

Amazingly, even the land knows when its inhabitants are obedient to the Lord.  It yields increase according to the way its owners are in accord with God’s principles, because the Lord has ultimate control over its productivity.

It pays to serve the Lord.

“When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.”  Prov. 16:7

DAILY PRAYER:  Father in Heaven, You are good to Your people.  I want to please You in all my ways today.  Lead me in paths of righteousness.

Holiness is Imparted

A repeated phrase in the law is, “I am the LORD, and I make you Holy.”  We don’t attain holiness by our merits nor our achievements.  It can only be imparted to us by the Lord.

You are not holy because you abstain from moral impurity … you abstain from moral impurity because you are holy.

David said, “Blessed is the one whom you choose, and cause to come near, that he may live in your courts.”  [Ps. 65:4a, WEB]

DAILY PRAYER:  Father in Heaven, draw me close to You. Never let me go my own way.  I hereby commit my ways to You and Your standards of holiness.

DAILY READING: Lev. 21-23

Don’t Learn Their Ways

God’s culture is holiness.  He warned the Children of Israel to avoid the evil practices of the inhabitants of the lands they were possessing, practices that were punishable by death.

Immorality feeds the lustful desires of our flesh, but holiness and moral purity fosters healthy spiritual life.  Holy living brings glory to God and is rewarded by His abiding presence.

“Blessed are the pure in heart; they shall see God.”

DAILY PRAYER:  Lord, I want to see You.  Keep me pure, keep me clean so that You many be seen.

Go to Church

The Children of Israel were instructed to take their sacrifices and sin offerings to the tabernacle.  Otherwise, they were guilty of unlawful bloodshed.

New Testament Christians are encouraged to faithfully fellowship with their brothers and sisters in Christ.

Paul said, “Don’t forsake the assembling of yourselves together … but (get together) much more as you see (Christ’s return) grow closer.”

DAILY PRAYER: Lord, we need You and the fellowship of other saints to live a life of victory.

The Kingdom Health Dept.

The Levites had extensive responsibilities examining for diseases and unhealthy molds.

Contemporary Christians have medical professionals who are proficient at diagnosing and treating health issues, but are also directed to ask for prayer by Christian leaders.

God clearly indicated to His children the dfifference between animals that could be eaten and those to shun. His care for their health was hererby indicated.

Paul said,  “May your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved sound and blameless.”

Yes, God wants us to be healthy.

DAILY PRAYER: Lord, we desire to walk in health.  Give us grace today to eat right.

Christ; The Ultimate Sacrifice

May we never lose sight of the scope, impact, and significance of what Christ did for us through His sacrificial death on the tree.  Like the Old Testament animals for sacrifice to whom the sin of the people was imparted when they put their hand on its head, Christ likewise took our sin and shortcomings.

The diseased woman in Matt. 9 merely touched the hem of Jesus’ garment and she was healed.  In Matt. 12, all who were diseased were healed when they touched the hem of His garment.

Touch Jesus today and give Him your sin and your disease.  Be healed!  Be safe!

DAILY PRAYER:  Lord Jesus, our Healer, our Savior, our Protector … It’s 9/11, keep us from the hand of our enemies.

DAILY READING:  Lev. 7-9
