God specified what people groups the Children of Israel were to target in the Promised Land, and what groups to leave alone.  They were to avoid engaging the descendants of Esau and Lot, but were to uproot and conquer those tribes whose land the Lord was giving to His people.

We are tempted to aim our sights at any form of resistance we encounter or whomever disagrees with us. Love the sinner but hate the sin. Love your Christian brother or sister, but prayerfully discuss your tension point. Friendly fire has caused too many casualties in the Body of Christ.

DAILY PRAYER:  Lord, forgive us for often biting and devouring each other. Help us to pull down spiritual strongholds of sin rather than wound Your children.
