When delivering his prophecy to Babylon about its demise, the prophet told God’s people to not lose heart.

May I apply his words to our lives? Regardless of the fate of all around us, God wants His people to rise above the challenges we face. Our reference is not the events in the news. Our reference is God’s Word. It does not change. It is not threatened. It will not be destroyed.

“Wait on the Lord. Be of good courage and He shall strengthen thine heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord.” Ps. 27:14
