When I read the catalog of suffering and peril that the Apostle Paul endured, [2 Cor. 11:16-33] I am resolved that I won’t complain about my light afflictions.  It is truly amazing all the ordeals Paul endured for the furtherance of the Gospel. Surely his reward in heaven will be great.

His focus was on the eternal rewards promised by the Lord as should we be also.

It’s all in what you’re looking at. If only this life and its consequences, we need an adjustment of focus.

DAILY PRAYER: Lord, forgive us for limiting our focus to only the temporal. We hereby set our eyes and affections upon Your eternal kingdom and its rewards.
