As Jacob and his family were returning home from the employ of Laban, his father-in-law, he bowed to the Lord in prayer and declared himself unworthy of the scope of blessing God had favored him with. He had been a deceiver to his own father Isaac, his brother Esau, and in part to Laban. Now in desperation, he was asking for God’s protection from Esau who was coming to meet him with 400 men.
Like Jacob, we too are unworthy of the blessings God bestows upon us, yet we boldly come to Him continually to ask for our needs. He gives to us because He loves us, not because we deserve it.
DAILY PRAYER: Lord, we are humbly grateful for Your supernatural blessing we experience every day.
