I Am Coming Soon

So is the message of the last chapter in the last book of the Bible. What’s more, the Lord Jesus declares that He is bringing His reward with Him. Every man will be rewarded according to what he has done.

This tells us that every internal decision we make in this life to honor the Lord and His Word, even though we are tempted to look out for our personal interests, is being monitored by God and will be rewarded.

This is how we should then live.

DAILY PRAYER: Lord, as I navigate the day, make it clear to me which decision I make will honor You and Your ways. Build Your Kingdom through me. Let others draw closer to You when they observe my life.

DAILY READING: Rev. 22 … We’re done! We start anew tomorrow.

God Loves People

When reading the things God has prepared for His people,it’s clear: HE LOVES THEM.

In His love letter to us, His Word, He describes the new heaven and new earth He will create for those who remained faithful to the end. It’s as if God has been anxiously waiting for the end-time events to transpire so that He could finally live in and with His people forever. We will be His dwelling place.

This is what the Psalmist prophesied when he said,

“For the Lord has chosen Zion,
he has desired it for his dwelling, saying,
‘This is my resting place for ever and ever;
here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it.'”  [Ps. 132:13,14]

DAILY PRAYER:  Father in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. We are awed when we consider the marvelous future You have prepared for us. How can we but fall down and worship You?

The Lake of Fire

Also referred to as Gehenna, the lake of fire was also prefigured in the Old Testament as Topheth, a burning pit in the valley of Hinnom near Jerusalem where the detestable practice of human sacrifice to Baal and Molech was practiced.

It’s coming. It is essentially prepared for Satan, the beast and the false prophet. Those whose names are not in the Lamb’s book of Life will also find their demise there.

Hence, our job is to witness for Christ so souls can get their name in that book and inherit eternal life with God.

DAILY PRAYER: Lord, help us to have eyes for the harvest rather than our personal interests. Forgive us for being so self centered.

DAILY READING: Rev. 20

We Are Safe

Upon reading Psalm 91, we get a glimpse of God’s protection for us. The benefits of serving the Lord cover all the necessary elements of life. Our security is one of them.

God’s protection agents are His angels. It’s their job to watch over us as they assist us on our journey to heaven.

They are very good at their job. One angel killed 185,000 warriors from the Assyrian army in one night. He didn’t even have a gun.

DAILY PRAYER: Lord, keep us safe as we begin another school year. We ask that YOU keep Your mighty angels on guard to protect us from any device of the evil one or his followers.

Clothed in Fine Linen

John heard a great multitude in heaven. They were clothed with fine linen which stands for the righteous acts of God’s saints.

Paul said we were made alive through Christ Jesus and created to do good works. [Eph. 2:10]

Loving, giving acts of kindness and service should be a hallmark of our lives.

DAILY PRAYER: Lord, You have given so much to us. We, in turn, can spread Your love through our deeds.

Pray for America

Upon listening to Revelation 18, New York City could well pass for Mystery Babylon.  No doubt, there are Bible experts who say both yes and no to that statement.

Regardless, our nation is and has been in a critical position. We’ve done good things, and we’ve done bad. God has clearly used the U.S. to send missionaries all over the world to spread the Gospel. Satan has used us to promote ungodliness through the corruption of cinema and pornography.

We shouldn’t be throwing rocks. We should be praying for another great, sweeping revival to hit our nation. With the upcoming election nearing, now is a great time.

DAILY PRAYER: Lord, we pray for the peace of America, and we ask You for a great move of Your Spirit. Use our prayer and witness to accomplish Your purposes.

Who is Mystery Babylon?

Some say Rome, some say Mecca, some say the United States.

Regardless, the posture of every Christian needs to be one of trust that relies on God’s Word for directions on how to live. God has demonstrated that He is capable of protecting and delivering His people no matter what ills befall them. His presence in the earth through His Holy Spirit in the lives of His people holds back the full blooming of end-time Anti-Christ activity.

AS we read the prophecy of the book of the Revelation, our hope should be solely in the Lord to direct and keep us in spite of the unfolding of end-time events which must happen so Jesus can return.

DAILY PRAYER: As was the slogan in the early church, we say “Maranatha – Come quickly, Lord Jesus.”

A Great Battle Coming

Revelation points to a great conflict ensuing on the plain of Megiddo, a critical pass which provides travel between Egypt and Syria. God’s army will eventually meet the forces of evil in this valley to fight the battle of Armageddon. God wins the battle.

As pointless as it may appear to oppose God, there are so many who are spiritually blinded by the devil. Christians are flabbergasted by how narrow and unreasonable is the thinking of those who oppose God. Yet, they carry on their merry way as if we are the nitwits.

Only a visitation from God’s Spirit can set them free from their unbelief. It’s our job to pray and share Christ.

DAILY PRAYER: Lord, the people walking in darkness need to see the GREAT LIGHT, and recover themselves from the lies of the devil. Lead me to someone today who needs witnessing. (Also, pray for me because my right knee is very painful and swollen.)

The Mark of the Beast

Taking the mark of the beast in the forehead or hand is synonymous with worshiping the beast. [Rev. 14:9,10]

The Christian is to remain faithful to Christ through patient endurance and keeping His commands.

“He that has My commands and keeps them, he it is that loves Me … and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” [Jn. 14:21]

DAILY PRAYER: Lord, I believe Your grace is sufficient. You will give me the strength I need for whatever challenge lies in my future.

DAILY READING:  Rev. 13,14

Reward … the Time is Coming

John pronounces a blessing upon those who read and hear his prophecy. In Chapter 11, John records hearing the 24 elders as they worship proclaim,

“The time has come for judging the dead,  and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your people who revere your name.”

The present rewards and blessings incurred by the Christian life are noting compared to God’s future rewards.

Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. [1 Cor. 2:9]

DAILY PRAYER: Father in Heaven, we hallow Your Holy Name. Fill each of our days with Your presence, and use us to prepare the entrance of Your Kingdom.
