The law of Moses dealt with practical issues that come up in daily life. God made it clear that honest, just, and upright dealings were to be conducted between the Israelites in their daily lives. He disallowed favoritism, bribery, and unjust conclusions in business, legal matters, and restitution of stolen or damaged possessions.
David echoed this this mandate when he prayed, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord.” Ps. 19
DAILY PRAYER: Lord, let every dealing of my life be acceptable to You. You see everything and You examine the hearts of men continually.
