The ordination and consecration process for the priests was a rigorous and demanding way of life. The detail in dressing them and making acceptable sacrifices to the Lord to prepare them for service was not a light matter.

In essence, all New Testament Christians are called to be priests and kings before God. Gratefully, Christ Jesus has qualified us to minister to God through His sacrifice on the cross. Our daily consecration, though, should be the committed focus of our energies.

“Walk worthy of the vocation wherewith you have been called.” Eph. 4:1
