Our Christ, our Redeemer was a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. The Heavenly Father laid ALL our sin and affliction upon Him. He didn’t refuse it. He didn’t complain. He bore it and carried it all the way to a death painful beyond description. Days ago, I stood at the foot of a cliff many recognize as Golgotha … Mt. Calvary. He truly was lifted up for all to see.
When we are buffeted and tried, we become “whiny wimps” and complain about life’s injustices. Paul challenges us to get to really know Christ through the fellowship of His sufferings. We need to change our view on challenges.
PRAYER: Lord, forgive us for being so resistant to any form of suffering. Grace us to see the opportunity to draw near to You through the sufferings of life. You are our Great Example.
