This was a prominent theme of Jeremiah’s prophecy. In fact, God said if the Hebrews would have repented and turned, He would hold off on permitting the devastation Babylon would eventually bring upon Jerusalem.

God’s Spirit still deals with His people. He loves us too much to leave us the way we are. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin. When He fingers something in your life, ask Him for the power to forsake and overcome it. His grace is sufficient.

PRAYER: Lord, forgive us for our many backslidings. By Your grace, we shall overcome all sin and lead lives that are a sweet smelling savor in Your nostrils.
