Paul tells us in Colossians that Jesus is the head of the Church. When Jesus was being tortured in preparation for his crucifixion, the cruel Roman soldiers placed a crown of thorns on his head and struck him in the head with their rods. This too must have been unimaginable pain.

The enemy really goes for the head. This is one reason why uplifting spiritual leaders in prayer is essential.

PRAYER: Father in heaven, we ask you to protect spiritual leaders by your Spirit.  Put a hedge around them and give them strength
