The Psalmist skillfully and poetically takes one of man’s greatest needs, that of water, and uses it to describe his dependence upon God. All that pulls upon us in life is not as necessary as water. We must have it to live.

With so many elements available to us, we are wise to pursue the vitals.

Whenever we drink water we should say “Lord,  I need you more than this water.”

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, give us wisdom to pursue the important thimgs.
