The Psalms are for a Christian on his knees and the Proverbs are for a Christian on his feet.

David’s prayers are a model for us to follow. They can be prayed, and are most effective when prayed out loud. They show the possible relationship between a single person and his God. Through their use, one can cultivate an appropriate prayer vocabulary. God loves to hear His Word come back to Him through our lips.
