Hosea chapter six is an often quoted, often preached-from passage of scripture that also includes a prophecy of Jesus’ resurrection. (On the third day He will raise us up)

It’s amazing and intriguing how God’s Word produces these doctrinal chestnuts in seemingly random places. It’s a healthy discipline for the Christian to read God’s entire canon of scripture on a through-the-Bible basis. It imparts a sense of God’s genius in drawing us into searching it for hidden treasure.
