Paul cleared it up for both the early church and us … our whole existence is dependent upon our relationship with Christ Jesus. Through our faith in Him, we have a completely righteous standing with God and are not merely bound to a list of rules and regulations to live by.

When we mess up, we confess our sin and are forgiven. In the law, messing up could result in death. So, Paul says, “I am crucified with Christ (made dead), yet I live, and … I live by the faith of the Son of God Who loved me and gave Himself for me.” [Gal. 2:20]
