Enemies will Stumble, Fall

The Psalmist took his refuge in the Lord and waited … waited for his enemies to stumble and fall. He rested in his integrity when false accusers rose up. He was confident in his posture and his protection from the Lord. If he was guilty, he was the first one to admit it and accept the Lord’s chastisement.

We make mistakes and stumble ourselves. Yet, we confess our sins, receive the Lord’s forgiveness, and move on. Without the blood of Jesus, there is no forgiveness or remission of sin. Hence, our only safe place is in Christ’s protection and forgiveness. We rise up. Our enemies don’t.
