Nothing can deter the Lord’s plans. There is no army, no weapon, no strategy, no force that can stop what God wants to do.

Men make plans and devise strategies that they think will give them the advantage in life. They are not wise to place hope in their own resources. A wise man, conversely, relies upon the Lord and invests his time in his relationship with God. He finds out through Bible study and prayer what God’s plans are and he focuses upon fitting in with them. This is wisdom.

The builders of the Tower of Babel thought their plan to reach the heavens would be successful. God said, “We will go down and  confuse them.” God even used their futile plan to accomplish His Purposes in the earth.
