Another one of David’s strategies was to stand still in God’s peace and let the enemy’s plot pass before him. He found refuge in the Lord and merely watched the ploy fail.

God actually meters out how much we can take, all the while intent upon delivering us and showing Himself as the great Defender.

We trust. We stand. We wait. The enemy’s tricks blow up on him.
