Rewards of a Pure Heart

Asaph struggled with the value of keeping his heart pure and all the mental discipline and self-control it demanded. He envied the prosperity he observed the ungodly enjoying. His lament took him to God in prayer. While in prayer, God showed him the true value of purity of heart. The payday would come at the end of his life.

I can vouch for God’s goodness to me in my 70 years here on this planet. Purity of heart has been a lifetime quest of mine … primarily because of what Jesus said … “Blessed are the pure in heart, they shall see God.”

My eyes are not what they used to be, but by God’s grace, my view of Christ and His daily blessings has never been better.
