As he was nearing his homeland destination, Jacob knew Esau was coming to meet him. He feared for his life because he had stolen the birthright and blessing from Esau. In his desperation, he awoke during the night and wrestled with God. It had to be the pre-incarnate Christ. He told Him he would not let Him go until He gave a blessing.

We need this same tenacity in prayer. ASK … ask, seek, knock. God promises He will answer.
