God promised that He would exempt the Hebrew families from the death angel when He saw the blood of a perfect, sacrificial lamb upon their doorpost and lintel. The blood kept them alive. The blood prevented tragedy. The blood was the mark of an agreement. The blood said, “I and my family are believers.”
Never let the blood of Christ be a discounted issue. His blood was shed from a perfect Lamb, fulfilling the requirement of God for an acceptable sacrifice.
No wonder songs are composed extolling Christ’s blood. We need to declare its value un-ashamedly. It’s God’s mark upon us.
