God didn’t lead the Israelites on the shortest path from Egypt to Canaan … He led them on the route that would avoid conflicts that could have destroyed them. He knew what they could handle and what they couldn’t.

It’s no different today. God will lead your personal life in a route and path that will give you the best advantage. This is why it is dangerous to try to rule your own destiny apart from God’s guidance.

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man. But God will not allow you to be tempted above that which you can stand, but will with the temptation make a way to escape that you may be able to bear it.” 1 Cor. 10:13
