God was specific as to how the burnt offerings were to be presented. He knew what aromas He wanted from the process. Everything had significance.
Is it possible that we have the same taste in burnt offerings? When you smell good steaks on a grill, does is to something for you? It does for me.
Actually, the sacrifice that God wants is our praise and a life of obedience. That’s what He’s truly after.
“I will praise God’s name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving. This will please the Lord more than an ox, m [Ps. 69:ore than a bull with its horns and hooves.” [Ps. 69:30,31]
“For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ…” [2 Cor. 2:15]
