Miraculously, Moses and Aaron placed an offering upon the altar before God’s people and God produced His fire that burned up the offering. The people were all amazed and gave God glory.

Aaron’s sons, Nadab and Abihu, however. had a different plan. Instead of waiting for God’s fire to consume their offering, they made their own. God called it “strange” fire. So offended was God that He smote them right there. Again, God’s people clearly saw the difference between man’s way of doing things and God’s.

God’s work done God’s way produces God’s results. Miracles.
