The priests were instructed to pronounce this blessing upon the Children of Israel:

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:

The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

In so doing, the priest was thereby applying God’s Name to His People. This would be an excellent prayer for parents and leaders to learn and pronounce over their children and followers on a regular basis.
