Although God had provided miracle food … manna … the Israelites were not happy with their diet. (It would be interesting to have an evaluation of the nutritional value of manna) They wanted MEAT! They just wanted what they wanted. Their carnal desires were in the driver’s seat.

God hated the complaining, so much so, that He gave them meat until it came out their noses.

I have heard people on a steak diet say they never want to see another steak ever.

We are to be grateful for what God provides. He knows best what we really need.
