To show the Children of Israel that Joshua now had the leadership power, God performed a miracle when they crossed the Jordan. As soon as the feet of the priests carrying the ark touched the water, it stopped so they could cross over.

God will validate the authority He has given to His ordained leaders with displays of His power.

God performed a significant miracle when Peter and John prayed for the healing of the lame man at the temple in Acts 3. This open show of God’s power most certainly brought attention to these simple fishermen whom God chose to use for His glory.
