The way Joshua and the Israelites conquered Jericho was unconventional. Shouting, carrying a religious box, blowing trumpets, marching … these were not the natural way an army would attack a city. Nevertheless, it was effective because it was God’s plan and their praise brought God’s presence and God’s victory. The defensive walls of the city could not hold back God’s power and His people.

Whatever problem is confronting you today, pray about it. Lift your hands and your voice to the Lord and acknowledge His greatness and ascendancy OVER your situation. It may take time (seven days?) but God will always come through.
