In impulsive arrogance and impatient presumption, a small group of Israelite warriors attacked Ai near Jericho. God had just delivered Jericho into their hands. They thought Ai would fall as easily.

Wrong!

Now their healthy fear forced them to consult the Lord Who revealed an issue in the camp. A disobedient man named Achan had preserved some items that were to have been burned and destroyed. Once his sin was found and dealt with, they could once again live in victory. Disobedience brought fear and defeat. Humility, obedience and trust brought victory. Ai was again attacked. It was defeated this time.
