It was a sad day when Israel went to war with the tribe of Benjamin. Multiplied thousands of lives were lost, all young men who probably had families. War is a horrible thing.

Also sad is that these were all Jews. It was brother against brother. Consider how heart-broken their mothers were.

Family in-fighting is an awful thing. Sure, people have reasons they feel they were wronged, but these things need to be worked out before too much damage is done.
