Before all Israel on top of Mt. Carmel, Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal to match God’s power by consuming an offering with fire. Baal did not consume his offering with fire, but God did in an overwhelming way. God’s great power was on display for all to see.

Elijah challenged the people to choose God and forsake Baal worship. He had the 450 prophets of Baal destroyed.

Time an again God proves His existence and His power to us, yet we often revert to our own ways. We need reminding of God’s greatness and power. This can efficiently come through daily reading or listening to His Word. He ALWAYS proves His power in our lives as we pray and trust Him.
