Asa’s Downfall

Asa was generally a good king for Judah, but in his end, he relied upon everyone but God. He made alliances with other kings for his safety. He relied upon physicians rather than the Lord for the condition in his feet. This caused his downfall, and the loss of the kingdom.

Jesus said, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.” The Lord through prayer and trust needs to be our first recourse in every situation. By this, we maintain His blessing and leading in all of life’s circumstances.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Eph. 3:20
