Consequence of Arrogance

READ/HEAR: Ezek. 28

Ezekiel’s prophetic reproof of the king of Tyre is a concurrent expose of Satan’s sin. Although he was given the honor of spreading his protective wings over God’s throne, pride and wickedness was found in him. For this, he was expelled from heaven and will come to a horrible end.

God will be proved holy in the sight of all. (Ezek. 28:26) Those who ambitiously try to ascend against God in their pride and arrogance will likewise meet their demise unless they repent, find Christ, and embrace the true beauty of holiness and humility as modeled by Jesus.

“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke (accept My teachings) upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Matt. 11:28,29
