Joshua 18-20

Cities of refuge were established in the Promised Land. If you accidentally took a life, you could run to one of these cities and find protection from the avengers.

When we need protection from the bruises and injuries of life, we run to Christ Jesus Who IS our refuge.

^“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” [Matt. 11:28-30]
