The weeping prophet

Jeremiah 9

Jeremiah carried a burden for his contemporaries who lived under the illusion that they were OK despite their sinful lifestyle. He wept openly. He felt God’s pain to see his countrymen leading reprobate lives.

This is rare today. All is NOT OK.

God is looking for intercessors who will cry out in travail.

Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar (positioned between God and man), and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? [Joel 2:17]
