Just before Christ Jesus ascended into Heaven, He showed Himself to His Disciples. He commissioned them to be witnesses of what they had seen and heard.
That’s what we are to be … witnesses to our generation about what we have seen and heard. Do you have a story of what Jesus has done for you? You have been instructed to tell it to others. This takes away the pressure to be an accomplished theologian when you describe your experiences with Christ to others.
In John 9 we find the story of a man who was blind from birth. The religious leaders desired to pin him down to a theological discussion of whether sin was responsible for his blindness. He simply witnessed to them by saying, “One thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
