Romans 7, 8
The Spirit and the Law – the two contending influences in the life of the believer. Paul identified this struggle in these chapters and vividly exposed the tension between them. He even called himself a wretched man revealing the consequence of this struggle in his mind. (Legalistic Christians are not happy)
He jubilantly declared that Christ Jesus had delivered him from the internal war by showing him the joyful life available by being led of the Spirit.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon Thee because he trusteth in Thee. [Is. 26:3]
