For many years I would sing and read aloud 5 Psalms and one Proverb each day. It was a life changing experience. Now, I listen to the Word on Biblegateway.com and have really enjoyed it. (I do my devotions in the middle of the night, usually)

There is something reaffirming about hearing the Word from your own mouth. You should try it. When you speak out loud, it’s as if you are making an agreement or covenant with the Lord. And, sometimes you just have to speak to yourself to encourage yourself.

John said in Rev. 1 that there is a blessing from God when you read it aloud.
