Isaiah 57

God says He dwells (lives) with those who have a humble and contrite (someone who is crushed) spirit.

I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. [Isaiah 5:15]

This is great comfort to those who are crushed by the tragedies of life. God is clearly watching and riding every bump WITH you. He’s sitting in the seat with you, helping you navigate the road ahead. He’s MUCH better than GPS on your phone.
