Paul commended the Corinthian church on their generosity in the offering for the Jerusalem church. He made it clear that God would not let them do without, but would reward their generosity.

A generous person is a refreshing breath of life. On the contrary, a selfish, stingy person is a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. When we give, God takes note and makes sure we don’ do without. In that way, we become a river with a constant stream of provision for us and others.

Be a river. Not a reservoir.
