Time to regroup

We have just completed listening through the Bible again. My initial motivation for this blog was to encourage the staff, students, and families of Trinity Christian School to be in God’s Word everyday.

In the process. I have discovered the joy and rewards of listening to the Bible. I merely go to Biblegateway.com, put on my trusty headphones and transport myself into the text. I use the NIV Dramatized version. It pulls me in so well. Try it!

Tomorrow we begin again with Genesis chapter one.

Worship God!

Rev. 22

I spent many years (about 30) as a worship leader. I deeply studied God’s Word with the desire to do it right. Here are some summary thoughts;

  • Worship is bowing down, your life style, your wallet, your thoughtlife, your habits etc.
  • It’s giving your best to God because He’s worth it.
  • Every activity of life can and should be an act of worship.
  • It’s a 24/7 commitment
  • Bow down to GOD ONLY! Otherwise it’s idolatry

O, what a City

Rev. 21

The New Jerusalem is described in this chapter. We have NOTHING in the life we now live to compare with its glory and beauty. Entrance to that city is only offered to those who have their names written in the Lambs book of life.

Mighty Warrior

Rev. 19

Gentle Jesus, meek and mild … yes, but He is also the captain of God’s armies and will conquer every foe in the end.

Presently, we accomplish our warfare through spiritual means like fasting and prayer, high praises of God in our mouth, and calling upon the Lords Name.

Are you in a spiritual struggle? Cry out to God day and night. [Luke 18:7] He promises to help you.

Who is Mystery Babylon?

Rev. 17, 18

In my opinion, there is possibly no other city that fits the description of Mystery Babylon like our own New York City. You could say 9/11 was a plague that hit her. No other city in the world has generated such sin and commerce. The late David Wilkerson would have concurred. He spent his life preaching there.

His ministry touched the world. SO has the Brooklyn Tabernacle.

God’s plagues

Rev. 16, 17

It’s comforting to know that those of us who have become followers of Jesus and have been cleansed by His blood will escape the dreadful consequences God has planned for those who follow Satan.

Our job is NOT to judge them, but to reach them with Christ’s love. Some we may even need to snatch out of their plight. [Jude 1:22, 23]

We are lifesavers.

Blue light torment

Rev. 14

All who reject Christ will exist in “torment.” We can’t fully comprehend the pain and suffering to come.

For 16 minutes, I endured the blue light treatment to my face at the skin doctor’s office. The pain, to me, was torment. Mind you, it was ONLY on my face. In the Lake of Fire, it will be the entire body.

We need to get busy and bring people to Jesus. They need to be SAVED from the torment to come.

Angels do God’s bidding

Rev.8-12

Whenever God wants to accomplish something supernatural, He generally commissions an angel to do it. Angels with great power and devastating orders will perform end-time destruction. You could call them God’s demolition team. Much demo needs to happen before He brings to pass a New Heaven and a New Earth.

It’s good to be SAVED!

Looking forward

Rev. 7

As Christians, we have SO MUCH to look forward to. Our hearts can be excited to see End-time events fall into place. The rewards and victories to come far outweigh any apprehensions we might have about the future. Our watchword and greeting should be, “Maranatha – Come quickly Lord Jesus.”

We should have NO FEAR for the future.
