He bears your burdens

Ps. 68

Life can weigh you down. Your mind can seem it will crumble because of problems or responsibilities. It happens to all of us.

Our key to survival is calling upon the Lord’s name. His presence IMMEDIATELY brings peace to our situation.

“Men don’t climb; they are lifted.”

Hans Troyer

Is. 40:31

A former Trinity Christian School student just completed the Western States 100 mile run. He placed 8th out of the finest distance runners in the world. It took him 15 hours to finish. Proud of him!

Life is an enduro run – not a sprint.

The “Shout”

Ps. 66

When’s the last time you heard shouting to God in church? Maybe never.

We’ve all shouted at a ballgame, but probably not in church. We should, because God’s victories in life FAR OUTWEIGH the football teams’ exploits.

“Shabach” is a Hebrew word for praise. Wait for the leader’s signal, then lift up your voice to God!

Thine is the power

Ps. 62

I pray this everyday.

What is power? It’s the possession of the ability to weild force, authority. or influence.

Nothing is done but that God originates it or allows it. If one thinks they are in control, they are naively deceiving themselves.

It’s wise to pray this and the entire “Lord’s Prayer” everyday to keep grounded on how life truly happens.

Always higher

Ps. 61

God is always higher than us … or anything.

My mentor would always say,”What are you doing UNDER your circumstances?” And, “Men don’t climb … they’re LIFTED.”

Regardless of the despair of your circumstances, God wants to give you His hand UP. Call on the name of Jesus.

Plead for the nations

Ps. 60

The Psalmist cried out to God for the healing of nations.

NOW is a great time to pray for Israel and Iran that God would heal their wounds from the recent attacks on each other. So many innocent people suffer from the powerplays their leaders enact.

Falsely accused

Ps. 59

Have you ever been accused of something you didn’t do? King Saul was bitterly jealous of innocent David and was spying on his residence with harmful intentions. As was his custom, David wrote this Psalm boldly declaring the Lord as his defender and avenger.

Jesus is our Great Advocate. He defends and protects us when we call upon His Name.

Whom shall I fear?

Ps. 56

With President Trump having just given the order to eliminate Irsn’s nuclear capabilities, the US has been threatened by their leader with retaliation. Should we fear? NO. We trust in God to protect us from all alarm.

Why fear?

Ps. 49

With the tension in the Middle East (Israel & Iran), it’s easy to begin fretting about the safety of our nation. It’s surely good to be motivated to pray, but as Christians, we have nothing to worry about. God is our constant protector. Just one of His warring angels can eliminate 180,000 enemy soldiers in one night.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and that our sons and grandsons don’t have to go to war. (Pray for mine if you don’t have any; Caleb, Luke. and Drew)

How great is God?

Ps. 48

We haven’t scratched the surface on understanding how great God is. But, we somewhat understand how capable we are at praising Him. The Psalmist decleared, “Praise Him GREATLY!”

This was my quest as a young minister of music and worship leader. I knew we were to give God our BEST.

Sincerity is the most important thing, and giving our best ranks way up there.
