God made it ALL

Isaiah 22

Open your eyes and look around. God made it all. Even things put together by man, God is responsible for providing the raw materials.

This is but another reason to, “Give thanks in all things.” [1 Thess. 5:18]

This scripture came to me after I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, cancer in your blood and bones. I’m STILL ALIVE, 13 years after my diagnosis. God made me, and I’m His to do as He wishes.

A canine miracle

My two sons and I were on the way home f rom our overnight camping trip to Pine Mountain. As we were riding along at about 55 mph, Jeffrey began screaming, “Stop-stop-stop.” His dog, Buck, had jumped out the window and was dangling on the side of the truck, held from disaster by the leash in Jeffrey’s hand and a sturdy shoulder harness. We stopped and checked him over … just some road rash. No broken bones or anything.

The day before, my daughter, Ashley, had insisted he take a much stronger leash. It saved the dog’s life, for a weaker one would have snapped.

My son LOVES his dog.

God’s dwelling place

Isaiah 18

How well I know that God is “In Heaven.” I pray it everyday in the Lord’s Prayer.

Solomon had a far-reaching insight when he declared in Ps. 132, “This is my rest forever, here will I dwell, for I have desired it.” He referred to Zion, the City of the great King, Jesus.

You and I, WE are the City of the Great King.

The devil’s fate

Isaiah 14

This chapter describes Satan’s rise to power and his doom. He once held the position some have described as the worship leader of Heaven. He became prideful ( like many Christian musicians ) and was kicked out of Heaven with his backup band.

Letting him control or influence your life is STUPID!

Prophecies of Christ

Isaiah 6-11

This may be the greatest concentration of Messianic prophecies in the entire Old Testament. Do you think the prophet realized what was flowing through his mouth and pen? God’s Holy Spirit was certainly upon him as he gave this word.

“For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” [Rev. 19:10]

A memorable morning

Isaiah 9

While on a trip to the Holy Land, I was sitting in a hotel dining room overlooking the Sea of Galilee. I was having breakfasr and reading my Bible. As I looked out the window and saw the sun’s reflection from the water, I happened to be reading the portion of Isaiah 9 that says, ” The people walking in darkness have seen a great light.”

No doubt that passage was directed to the people of this region who saw Jesus, the Messiah. I will NEVER forget that morning.

Clean lips

Isaiah 6

” In that day,” God will judge those with unclean lips.

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mout0h, but that which is good to the use of edifying …” [Eph. 4:29]

A Holy Ghost FILTER over our words is a good idea. He might say,”You shouldn’t say that …”

In “That Day”

Isaiah 1-4

The late David Wilkerson once said, “If God doesn’t judge New York City, He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah .”

Isaiah saw a day where the wrongs would be made right; corrupt leaders exposed, gross immortality chastened, pride and arrogance humbled etc.

This reckoning is yet to happen. We still have time and space to get our lives in order. Call upon the Name of the Lord.

Get real with God

Isaiah 1

The prophet here expresses God’s frustration with the insincere and hypocritical offerings and religious traditions of His people, the Jews. He points to the coming Kingdom of the Messiah, Who will Himself become the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of His people.

It’s ALL in Jesus, the Messiah. Know Him, love Him, serve Him, live IN Him.

Your sin can be GONE

Isaiah 1:18

“Tho’ your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.”

Christ’s blood sacrifice at His death upon a Roman cross made provision for the cleansing of our sins. Our sin can be washed away. This will be especially important when we stand before the Lord at the final trumpet.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness. “[1 Jn. 1:9]
