1 Chron. 15

David appointed Levites who were skilled in music to provide music for God’s presence over the Ark.

In churches today, skilled and talented singers and instrumentalists are selected to lead God’s people in praise and worship. God invested musical ability in them to serve His people as in David’s time.

They thrive when operating in their gifts. Tim Hurt and Jason Moore both have very talented families serving in music at Trinity. We are blessed and grateful for their contribution.

1 Chton. 14

David’s passion for the Lord’s presence was revealed when he desired to bring the Ark from Obed-Edom’s home to Zion. Obed-Edom was blessed because of the Ark.

Our homes are blessed because of God’s presence. Life goes better with Jesus.

1 Chron. 12

God assembled to David the very bravest and most cunning men in the kingdom. They fought with him and guarded him. His reputation as a warrior-king was formidable, besides being a great leader, psalm composer, and musician.

God does this for His leaders … He plants mighty and capable men by his side to assist in the effective leadership of His people.

1 Chron. 8

Listed in the genealogies of Israel are headcounts of men “ready for war.”

Is that what a man is good for? Granted, men MUST defend their women and children, but I hope we’re good for more than just that.

Praying men can be warriors on their knees. Put down the gun and pick up the Cross.

1 Chron. 5

The priests who served in music were provided for by the Lord. They had villages and enough land for their animals. In essence, they also had a retirement provision, for they served 20 years and then retired.

My primary service to the Kingdom has been in music. God has ALWAYS been faithful to take care of me and my family. I have endeavored to seek HIM above any earthly riches, and I have not one regret.

1 Chronicles 1-5

In Israel, good records were kept of family trees, hence the books Kings and Chronicles.

I have a cousins reunion from my mother’s side coming up. It stirs me to dig in on searching for our family tree.

2 Kings 25, 25

Wicked king Manasseh’s sin brought great trouble upon Judah and Jerusalem. Nebuchadnezzar’s army put a siege upon the city after having hauled off all the valuables and thousands of the elite Jews. It was pitiful. SIN ISN’T WORTH IT.

Sin has a great price to pay. Christ’s blood paid the price to haul off our sin. Let Jesus be your invader.

2 Kings 19

Hezekiah inquired of Isaiah if his passing was near. The prophet said, “You have 15 more years.”

Recently a person in whom I have spiritual confidence told me, “God’s not finished with you yet.”

I’ll take that. I have some prayer goals that I want to see happen!

2 Kings 19

These were Isaiah’s words to king Hezekiah’s emissaries, who were sent to inquire and ask for support from the prophet.

They are God’s words to YOU who are taunted by the enemy in any way. God’s miraculous help is promised to all who call on His name in time of trouble.

When Christ Jesus gave His Life as a sacrifice to atone for our sin, His Bood was spilled FOR US.

You are under that blood your entire life. Your enemy knows it. He can see as if blood was splattered upon your door post as in the Exodus.

Rejoice in the Blood. Plead the Blood. Sing about the Blood. You are safe and clean under the Blood of Christ
