God’s plan for you

Ps. 139

All of our days are written in God’s book. He has many plans for us. His hand guides us into His Will.

He is anxious for us to enter into the blessing and fulfillment we will find in serving Him.

This life is not about our pleasure … it’s about His. He is now preparing a place for us in Heaven. Pleasing Him -being obedient to His Will – is the only life with eternal rewards.

Only one way

Ps. 124

There is only one way to explain Israel’s survival when the entire Muslim world and much of the rest of the world is against them … GOD’S PROTECTION.

No wonder the Psalmist encouraged, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. ” [Ps. 122:6]

YOU are God’s child also, the apple of His eye. You are safe in His arms.

Never stumble

Ps. 119:165

“Great pezce have they who love Thy Law , and NOTHING shall cause them to stumble.”

A stumble can cause a fall, and falls can cause injury. Spiritual stability is even more important than physical stability. This is a wonderful, healthy byproduct of living in God’s Word.

They that trust in the Lord shall be as Mt. Zion which cannot be removed, but abides forever. [Ps. 125:1]

It’s a choice

Ps. 119:30

The Psalmist CHOSE the way of truth.

Thankfully, our parents may have wisely chosen to raise their children to choose Christ. They thereby spared them untold grief from a life of rebellion against God.

It’s easier to make a good choice when you see firsthand the fruit of Christian homes.

In prisons, you see the results of bad choices. In church, you hopefully see the fruit of Godly households.

Eyes wide open

Ps. 119:18

Here’s how to pray for an unbeliever: “God, open their eyes to see and hear what you are saying.”

It’s called REVELATION.

Jesus opened the eyes of many blind people as He ministered in His travels throughout Israel. He gave us power to heal also. Let’s not be guilty of not asking and not praying. God is no respecter of persons.

Memorizing scripture

Ps. 119

“Hiding God’s Word in my heart'” is the same as memorizing scripture. Through it, a young person can keep their mind clean.

What is Satan’s goal? He wants to corrupt their minds through media. How else can he creep into their bedroom and dominate their thoughts?

How can we encourage scripture memory? Maybe by rewarding it.

I will live

Ps. 118

A personal thought: I have Multiple Myeloma and blood clots in my lungs. Both can be fatal, and yet I still live. I value each day and see it as an opportunity to do God’s will.

Each time I’ve bumped into a wall, so to speak, the Lord has graciously given me fresh new direction and opportunities. I’m grateful.

Your life is precious and valuable. Thank Him for breath and life. You have not failed. You are postured for exciting new opportunities and direction. By faith, walk through the doors He has opened for you. He has His Mighty Hand upon your life. [Phil. 3:13,14]

THE homeless solution

Ps. 113

Government just throws OUR tax money at the homeless. In California, the poor should be driving Ferraris for all the money earmarked for them. God’s Word says, “(God) raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;” government is not the solution – God is.

The first step is always prayer directed by God’s Word. As His people pray, the Lord will give instructions to the saints, and government will notice their action and effectiveness.

Our goal: to see the homeless population get SAVED and live with us in Heaven. God has a mansion waiting there for them. [Jn. 14:2]

How to raise Godly children

Ps. 112

The Psalmist lays out the formula for Godly, successful children; fear the Lord and delight in His commands. There is NO OTHER WAY.

Instituting God’s ways in your home is the only insurance that they will turn out right. Godly standards means filtering what goes into their eyes and ears. With the technology tsunami in our world today, this task requires extra vigilance! It’s well worth it. Prevention is easier than a complete overhaul.

With all my heart

Ps. 111

When you love someone with “all your heart,” it means there is no one else who has any part of it. It’s an undivided heart.

The Psalmist exhorted us to praise the Lord with our whole heart … applying our entire focus upon Him during the Praise service at church. Although I can’t stand for our praise service ( so dizzy I might fall over) I still can give my whole and undivided heart of devotion to the Lord. He generally gets some healthy weeping from me too. He’s been so good to me.
