Angels protect you

Ex.. 23

Never hesitate to ask God to use His angels to protect you or your loved ones. It’s one of their jobs.

TCS used to house their high school at the Crossroads Church 154 campus. I was extremely concerned to have our students, all novice drivers, using the entrance from a busy highway. I just prayed. “Lord, always have your angels there guarding our precious students.” He DID IT! There were only relatively minor accidents there. Thank you, Jesus!

Guard your mouth

Ex. 23

In the Law, you were forbidden to even let the name of false gods be on your lips. Yes, it’s critical what comes out our mouth. Many mouths need to be closed for repairs.

If the right things are in your mind, a healthy conversation will follow: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Phil. 4:8

Stiff penalties

Ex. 20

As Moses was given the law and commandments, the penalties for disobedience were also clarified. It’s noteworthy and frightening to see how many times death was the punishment for violations. I call that living in fear.

The wages of sin is death. More people would live in obedience if instant death was enforced.Thank the Lord for time and space to repent and reform.

Pray like Paul

Colossians 1:9

Today I take my cue from the Biblegateway verse of the day.

Whomever you carry in your heart as a prayer burden, consider this request for them; … “We have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,”

That was obviously Paul’s prayer script for the believers at Colosse. Plug in the name of your prayer target. Notice that it’s God that does the work while we merely pray.

As a young man, I was inclined to think that no one could do things as well as I could (pride). Many years later, I learned how to delegate, and it was a wonderful new world. It was a better way.

Moses’ father-in-law, Jethro, taught him the same lesson.

The Lord watched the Israelites to see if they would gather enough food on the day before the Sabbath. If they went hungry, they realized what kind of grade they got.

God was everything to His people as they trekked through the wilderness. Whatever they needed, He supplied. He’s the SAME GOD today.

Many of you know, I have some afflictions. My constant prayer is, “Lord, please heal me.” I have experienced miraculous healing in the past. I cry out for a fresh touch from His Hand.

A song is coming

Ex. 15

As soon as the Israelites escaped Pharoah’s armies in the sea, God gave a song of deliverance … “The horse and chariot are cast into the sea.”

Your trial can simply be seen as subject matter for the title of a new song. Get ready to sing and dance.

God helps you move on

Ex. 12

After experiencing the plagues, the Egyptians were READY for the Israelites to be GONE. In fact, they loaded them down with gold. silver, and jewels.

When it’s time for a change, God will lift the grace and motivate your circumstances to prepare for the change.
