Jehoiada was a Godly priest who was instrumental in the coronation of seven year old Joash to be king. Jehoiada had enlisted the support of the Levitical priests to overthrow the ungodly Athaliah and crown Joash. Under Jehoiada’s influence, Joash was a good king and the nation prospered. When Jehoiada passed, Joash leaned upon ungodly counselors and forsook the Lord. Tragedy ensued quickly.

The influence of Godly leaders is vital to a healthy spiritual life.
