Upon reading (or hearing) the last chapters of the book of Revelation, one rejoices greatly that they are washed in Christ’s blood and clad in a spotless, white garment and will experience the wonders and rewards of being a part of Christ’s Body. Conversely, the penalty of rejecting Christ is gruesome … being cast into the lake of fire and brimstone to suffer and burn there for eternity.

General William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army, was motivated to reach out for the souls of men when gripped with the vision of men perishing in this lake of torment. It occurs to me that believers should read it more often to maintain a greater sense of vigilance and evangelism while we still have time.
